A lot of people don't know that I'm also a published author, besides just being a professional reviewer and the owner of TRT.

I have published under the name Jen Nicholas (from Kensington Brava and New Concepts Publishing) and Alayne Warren (to a small ebook publisher that I'm no longer with).

Today, I took the plunge and submitted one of my short stories (that I regained the rights to from said ebook publisher) to the new Spice Briefs line at Harlequin.

Here's hoping that I'll hear back from them soon, and that it will be good news!

On another note, I think I've finally found the agent I want to submit to for my brave new attempt at the YA genre.  Now I just have to finish my rough draft of my story and make myself sound great, and I'll be good to go!

I really haven't done any serious writing in over a year, after the bad, bad, BAD experience I had with an editor who shall remain nameless.  Thankfully, though, I've put that behind me.  Too many people have said that writing is what I do best, so I have to believe them and not give up.
